YOKOSUKA, Japan—Fourteen individuals and four Navy organizations have been honored for their public service to Japan and their communities by the Zenkokai (Good Conduct) Association of Japan. They are to be presented with awards at the Zenkokai Awards Ceremony at Meiji Jingu Shrine Sanshuden Hall (明治神宮参集殿)in Tokyo on Saturday, 26 May, 2012.

EA-6B Prowlers depart Japan for U.S.

YOKOSUKA, Japan—Four EA-6B Prowler electronic warfare aircraft with Carrier Air Wing (CVW) 5 at Naval Air Facilities (NAF) Atsugi departed today for the United States as part of a previously scheduled plan to replace them with newer EA-18G Growler aircraft. One EA-6B Prowler aircraft will remain indefinitely to be repaired after it lost an exterior aircraft panel while landing at NAF Atsugi on Feb. 8.
