VFA-102 CMC Todd E. Wende

 

Command Master Chief Todd Wende is a native of Eastland, Texas and enlisted in the United States Navy in June 1994. 

Master Chief Wende attended the Recruit Training Command and Hospital Corpsman “A” School in Great Lakes, Illinois.  His first assignment was to the Naval Medical Center in Portsmouth, Virginia with follow-on assignments to include the USS JOHN S. MCCAIN (DDG 56); U.S. Naval Hospital in Yokosuka, Japan; USS CHANCELLORSVILLE (CG 62); Commander, Task Force SEVEN ZERO/Carrier Strike Group FIVE (CTF 70/CSG 5) permanently embarked onboard USS KITTY HAWK (CV 63) and USS GEORGE WASHINGTON (CVN 73); and Military Sealift Command Headquarters. 

He is a graduate of the Surface Force Independent Duty Corpsman School and the United States Navy Senior Enlisted Academy (Non-Resident) Class 12 (Khaki) in Newport, Rhode Island.  He earned a Bachelor of Science in Health Sciences and a Master of Arts in Education from Touro University in 2006. 

Upon selection to Command Master Chief and graduation from the Command Master Chief Course in Newport, Rhode Island, he reported to Strike Fighter Squadron ONE ZERO TWO in December 2012. 

Master Chief Wende’s personal awards include the Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal (four awards), the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal (five awards), the Navy Good Conduct Medal (five awards), and various unit and campaign awards.
