2010 Certified Ombudsman Trainer Symposium

The annual symposium for Certified Ombudsman Trainers (COTs) provides an opportunity to discuss the Ombudsman Program with the professionals who train the Navy’s command ombudsmen. Agenda topics are selected based upon the emergent needs identified throughout the past year by Certified Ombudsman Trainers, Ombudsman Coordinators, Commanding Officers, ombudsmen and senior leadership. Keynote speakers for the 2010 symposium included MCPON Rick West, Mrs. Debby Greene, CNO Ombudsman-at-Large and Chairman Naval Services FamilyLine, and Mr. John Baker, SES CNIC HQ.

Topics of discussion included a wide array of pertinent and interesting topics. The last day of the symposium featured the roll out of the newly revised Ombudsman Basic Training Instructor Guide and the Ombudsman Program Manual.
