2-29-12 Naval Weapons Station Yorktown conducting sound and vibration testing at EOD RangeYORKTOWN— Naval Weapon Station (WPNSTA) Yorktown is planning to conduct a vibration and noise measurement program at on- and off-base locations, March 5-9, to document the effects from open and buried detonations to the permitted Net Explosive Weight (NEW) limit at the Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) range. The purpose of this effort is to evaluate vibration and noise levels [resulting from] EOD detonation operations at the maximum allowed NEW limits and resulting impacts on the surrounding community.

Marine Chemist, Inc., out of Newport News, was contracted to do mold inspections in the form of visual examinations with additional testing as required.

1-10-2012 Lincoln Military Housing to reinspect 15 homes[Norfolk, VA] [January 10, 2012] – Lincoln Military Housing today announced that they have re-inspected 15 homes in the Hampton Roads region. These residences were originally inspected by a Froehling & Robertson employee who had a pending certification from the Commonwealth of Virginia for mold inspector. Due to paperwork processes and a clerical error, the certification was delayed.
