Welcome to Naval Base Guam
WELCOME TO GUAM! The island of Guam is located approximately 3,300 miles West of Hawaii, and 1,500 miles east of the Philippines and south of Japan. Guam is a territory of the United States and its residents are US citizens. The island is about 36 miles long, 6-12 miles wide and in many ways Guam is an all American community. But its multi-cultural ethnic mix offers a microcosm of the world. Guam's own rich Chamorro culture and heritage draws visitors from Japan, other Asian countries and Europe.
Installation Information
THE NAVY COMMERCIAL ACCESS CONTROL SYSTEM HAS BEEN FULLY IMPLEMENTED
With full implementation of NCACS, the center has been merged with the Naval Base Guam Visitor Control Center (VCC) (as of April 2nd, 2012). The VCC is located on the back side of the Navy Housing Office (building 1657) and in front of the Navy Federal Credit Union. The VCC will become the sole location where the RAPIDGate registration and passes are issued.
Hours are M-W 0600-1730, Thursday 0700-1630, Friday 0700-1600; closed weekends and holidays.
The NCACS program began in December 2011 and applies to all contractors, vendors, sub-contractors, and service providers who regularly access Navy installations but are not authorized a Common Access Card (CAC). The program increases the security posture of installations while offering streamlined access for contractors and vendors.
For other access to Navy installations on Guam, please see Installation Guide/Visitor Information on this website or visit or call the Visitor Control Center outside the U.S. Naval Base Guam front gate. Phone: 339 1280 and 339 1380. For students or historians wishing to visit the NBG historic sites, contact nbgpao@fe.navy.mil. Group tours of these sites can usually be arranged but need at least a month's notice.
