The MWR Department offers an abundance of recreational opportunities through its many wonderful facilities: fitness centers, swimming pools (indoor), beach, library, movie theater, do-it-yourself car repair facility, outdoor skating rink, bowling center, climbing wall, golf course, ticket/travel office, marina, rental center, enlisted sailor program/facility, youth and family recreation centers, food and beverage facilities, child care centers and much more! In addition, the MWR Department hosts concerts by internationally known entertainers and community festivals that provide seasonal family entertainment.
The Fleet and Family Support Center is an on-base social service agency whose goal is to improve the quality of life for the military member and family through counseling and assistance. The FFSC is the first stop for singles and families seeking counseling or assistance with a personal or family matter. FFSC's many free classes and seminars are also a great resource for self-improvement and Navy lifestyle education.
