USS Mustin to visit Ishikari
YOKOSUKA, Japan—The U.S. Navy announced today that USS Mustin (DDG 89), forward deployed to Yokosuka as part of the 7th Fleet’s operating forces, will be making a short goodwill visit to Ishikari, Hokkaido, in the near future.
Mustin, an Arleigh Burke-class guided missile destroyer, commanded by Cmdr. Scott A. Tait, is 155 meters long, displaces approximately 9,145 tons and has a crew of 275 Sailors.
During the visit, the crew of Mustin hopes to meet the citizens of Ishikari, enjoy shopping and sightseeing opportunities, winter sports and the many local culinary delights, such as Ishikarinabe, of this scenic part of Hokkaido.
