Support Services

The Family Readiness division consists of the Military and Family Support Center (MFSC) and Child and Youth Programs (CYP).

Military and Family Support Center

The Military and Family Support Center services customers within the major metropolitan Washington, D.C. geographical area and encompasses more than 400 commands and activities. For newcomers arriving in the Washington, D.C. area, the Military and Family Support Center offers relocation assistance.

MFSC provides services such as relocation assistance, new parent support, deployment services, clinical counseling services, financial management counseling, family employment services, family advocacy and the transition assistance programs.

MFSC Workshops
From learning tips on effectively managing your money, to better managing of your family life, to providing strategies for finding a job in the DC area, to transitioning to a new life after the military, the Military and Family Support Center is here to help with a wealth of workshops for you. Registration is mandatory for all classes. Please note that insufficient enrollment may force cancellation of a class.

Child and Youth Programs

CYP provides services including Child Development Centers, the Child Development Home Program, Youth and Teen Centers, School Age Care, instructional/leisure classes and the School Liaison Officer Program.
