Senior Chief Gregory Dudzienski is a native of Valparaiso, Indiana. He enlisted in the Navy in May of 1994.
Following recruit training at Recruit Training Command Great Lakes, Illinois; he attended Musician Class “A”
School at Joint Expeditionary Base Little Creek in Virginia Beach, Virginia.

Upon graduation from the Basic Course of Instruction, Senior Chief Dudzienski was transferred to the
Commander in Chief, United States Atlantic Fleet Band in Norfolk Virginia where he deployed onboard
USS COMTE DE GRASSE (DD 974) in support of the 1995 UNITAS/WATC Exercises to South America
and West Africa.

In 1997, he was transferred to the SIXTH Fleet Band in Naples Italy where he performed extensively
throughout Europe, North Africa, and the Middle East. In 1998, he deployed onboard USS LASALLE (AGF-3)
in support of operations in the Black Sea and former Soviet Union.

Senior Chief Dudzienski reported to Navy Band Great Lakes, Great Lakes Illinois in 2001 where he was
instrumental in the production of events honoring the first African-American Navy Musicians stationed at
Great Lakes Naval Training Center during World War II.

In 2004, he was advanced to Chief Petty Officer and selected for duty at the U.S. Navy School of Music as the
Jazz Harmony and Arranging Instructor. Subsequently, he was selected to serve as the Musician Rating Training
Manager at the Center for Service Support where he oversaw the development and delivery of all curriculum
taught at the Navy School of Music.

Senior Chief Dudzienski reported to Navy Band Northeast in 2011 for duty as the Assistant Director.

He has earned a Bachelor of Music Degree in Jazz Studies and Performance from Northern Illinois University.
He is a graduate of the U.S. Navy School of Music’s Basic Course of Instruction, Arranging Course, and
Senior Musician Course as well as the U.S. Navy Senior Enlisted Academy.

An active performer and educator, Senior Chief Dudzienski has performed with popular music and jazz artists
including: Marian McPartland, Clark Terry, Lou Donaldson, Maureen McGovern, Gerald Wilson,
David Liebman, The Jimmy Dorsey Orchestra, The Temptations, The Four Tops, and The Virginia Symphony
Orchestra. He has presented clinics and master classes at The University of Rhode Island, The International
Saxophone Symposium, and numerous high schools throughout the United States.

Senior Chief Dudzienski’s awards include the Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal (3 awards),
the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal (4 awards), and numerous unit awards.
