    Navy Operational Support Center Newport is responsible for the mobilization readiness of over 675 Selected Reserve Sailors in support of 30 diverse units supporting "gaining" active component commands fleet wide. The NOSC initiates the mobilization process for both Individual Augmentees and unit mobilizations and supports the families of those reserve Sailors deployed in support of military operations world-wide. The NOSC staff is comprised of 20 Full Time Support Sailors.
