Naval Station Newport is located on 1,399 acres along the western shore of Rhode Island's Aquidneck Island. Approximately 5,800 employees work at more than 50 commands located on Naval Station Newport.
The station recently completed its’ 2005 BRAC directed transitions which resulted in over 17,000 students passing through annually for training and education programs at commands onboard NAVSTA Newport.
