Military Personnel Services

Military Personnel (MILPERS) Services function encompasses sub-functions that provide support and services to military personnel.  These sub-functions include: Pay and Personnel Support, Restricted Barracks Administration, Brigs, Transient Personnel Unit Administration, Reserve Coordination/Mobilization and Military Personnel Services Training Support.  

Pay and Personnel Support consists of all activities relating to pay / personnel services for eligible personnel in the local area.  It includes the operation of existing Personnel Support Detachments (PSDs) worldwide, which are assets of the Navy Pay & Personnel Support Center (NPPSC).

Restricted Barracks Administration consists of activities that use installation Base Operating Support funds to provide Restricted Barracks services for the local area.

Brigs consist of activities that use installation Base Operating Support funds to operate a Brig.

Transient Personnel Unit (TPU) Administration includes all Base Operating Support resources provided by a host command in support of a tenant-operated Transient Personnel Unit.

Reserve Coordination/Mobilization consists of installation provided Base Operating Support-funded activities in support of mobilization and Reserve coordination activities.

Military Personnel Training Support consists of installation provided Base Operating Support-funded activities in support of training military personnel.
