Captain Peter R. Nette received his Navy commission through Aviation Officer Candidate School in 1986 upon his graduation from the University of South Florida with a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, and subsequently was designated a Naval Aviator in March 1987.
Commander Mikel was commissioned an Ensign in 1995 through the Naval Reserve Officer Training Corps program at Purdue University. He assumed his current duties as Executive Officer of Naval Support Activity South Potomac in Naval District Washington in March 2011.
Command Master Chief Eller enlisted in 1982, and following basic training he entered Basic Enlisted Submarine School in Groton, Conn., with follow-on orders to SWSS “A” school and Poseidon C-3 Missile Technician “C” school in Dam Neck, Virginia.
