Captain Rock holds a masters degree in National Security Strategy from the National War College. His awards include the Defense Superior Service Medal, Defense Meritorious Service Medal, Meritorious Service Medal, Joint Commendation Medal (two awards), Navy-Marine Corps Commendation Medal (five awards), Navy-Marine Corps Achievement Medal (two awards) as well as various unit and campaign awards.
Commander Don Smith was born in San Diego, California. He enlisted in the Navy in June 1978. After graduating from RTC Great Lakes, he attended Signalman “A” school in Orlando, FL. He served aboard USS MEYERKORD (FF-1058), USNS KILAUEA (T-AE-26) and USS CHARLESTON (LKA-113), earning Surface and Air Warfare qualifications, the Surface Warfare Officer qualification and promotion to Chief Petty Officer before November 1990.
Senior Chief Johnson was born on June 10, 1973. He is a native of Phoenix, Arizona. Upon graduating from Trevor G. Brown High School in 1992, he worked several odd jobs until he enlisted in the Navy in 1994. He has attended several Navy technical schools, is a graduate of the Navy's Senior Enlisted Academy and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Information Systems Management from the University of Maryland College.
