Things To Do
The Morale, Welfare and Recreation Department administers a varied program of recreation, social and community support activities on all Navy bases in the Southwest Region. These programs provide active duty, reservists and retired Navy personnel and their families with sports and physical fitness activities, child development and youth programs and a variety of food and beverage services. Our mission is to provide quality support and recreational services that contribute to the retention, readiness, mental, physical, and emotional well being of our Sailors.
- Tickets, Travel & Tours - Discount tickets to most Southern California attractions are available at special prices just for the military.
- Golf - Originally opened as an 18-hole venue in 1966, the Navy Golf Course is now a 27-hole complex occupying 220 acres in Orange County, California.
- Food & Beverage - Dining services at Seal Beach.
- Liberty Programs - Liberty Centers offer in-house activities from pool tournaments and free BBQ events to life skills workshops, free Internet computer stations, and computer gaming, as well as trips and adventures.
- Outdoor Recreation - The Outdoor Recreation Rental Office rents a variety of equipment for your next event.
- Parks & Picnic Areas - Picnic and barbecue areas offers an enjoyable recreational area for the whole family..
- Recreational Lodging - Seal Beach military personnel and MWR patrons who visit Seal Beach will enjoy the convenience of two local RV parks as well as RV storage lots.
