Environmental Support

All Environmental Coordinators who oversee processes with environmental impacts are designated in writing by each associated support activity at NBVC.

Organization

The Environmental Division is comprised of two branches: Environmental Compliance and Services and Environmental Planning and Conservation. Both branches of the Environmental Division monitors and regulates (as applicable) on the three operating facilities at NBVC: Point Mugu, Port Hueneme and San Nicolas Island.

Below are the programs and their plans associated with each branch of the Environmental Division.

Early stages in Environmental Planning require careful review of all of the Environmental Programs. However, the following Environmental Programs are regularly reviewed in accordance with NBVCINST 11010.1, Site Approval and Project Review Process, and as part of the NBVC Project Review Board:

  • Cultural, Historical and Archeological Resource Program
  • Environmental Restoration
  • National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA)
