Recycling
NAS Kingsville has an active Command Recycling Program. Recyclable commodities include: white paper, colored paper, newspaper, magazines, cardboard, plastic, aluminum, and scrap metal.
Anyone who needs extra recycling containers may contact GMC Tom Taylor at 516- 6603 or 516-6231. If you are unable to reach the office, please leave a message and your call will be returned.
Buildings with military personnel can drop off their recycling Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to noon in the Seabee yard (BLDG 4710). Buildings without military personnel should notify recycling when the bins are full to schedule a pick up.

Facilities with military: Department Heads will be responsible for designating someone to drop-off recycling.
Where: Public Works Seabee Division (Side Gate) BLDG 4714. When: 8:30 a.m. to Noon, Monday through Friday.
Facilities without military: Public Works personnel will be around to pick up recycling in the afternoons upon your request.

Don't we have any bins to use at our buildings already?
Yes. Many of the buildings on base already have blue recycling bins. Contact us if you need more. (516-6603)
Is the base making any money?
Yes. We are selling our recycling to Dolphin Recycling in Corpus Christi.
Where does the money go?
All profits from recycling are put into the command Morale, Welfare and Recreation Department (MWR).
Will Recycling Work?
With everyone's help on base, this program can be a huge success. We can save the base some money and make a little in return not to mention all the tons and tons of garbage we are keeping out of the landfills.
