The School Liaison Office is located in NSA Annapolis Fleet & Family Support Center (FFSC) at 168 Bennion Road, Annapolis MD 21402.

Office hours are 0800-1630 Monday through Friday.

The School Liaison Officer provides the following services:

  • School Transition Services
  • Deployment Support
  • Command, School and Community Communications
  • Special Education System Navigation
  • Partnerships in Education
  • Home School Support
  • Post-Secondary Preparation

School Liaison Officers serve as the primary point of contact for school related matters. We assist military families with school issues and represent, inform and assist Command. We coordinate with our local school systems to forge partnerships between the military and schools.

  • The vision of the School Liaison Program is to coordinate and assist school aged children of military parents with educational opportunities and information necessary to succeed in an academic environment. School liaison officers also network, educate and work in partnership with local schools to provide caring adults to enhance the education experience.
       
  • The mission of the School Liaison is to provide military commanders with the support necessary to coordinate and advise military parents of school-aged children on educational issues and needs and to assist in solving education-related problems.
       
  • The goals of the school liaison are to:
  1. Identify barriers to academic success and develop solutions;
  2. Promote parental involvement and educate local communities and schools regarding the needs of military children
  3. Develop and coordinate partnerships in education; and
  4. Provide parents with the tools they need to overcome obstacles to education that stem from the military lifestyle.
