05B4 Nagaoka-Honolulu Peace Commemoration

Aloha!

Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam welcomes you to the 70 Years of Peace commemorative events hosted by Nagaoka City, Japan, the City & County of Honolulu, and the United States Navy.

To mark the 70th anniversary of the end of the Pacific War, Nagaoka City and its sister city, Honolulu, along with the U. S. Navy, have come together to pursue a commemorative project dedicated to the pursuit of peace to take place in August 2015. The events will culminate with a world-class fireworks display in Pearl Harbor on Aug. 15, 2015 to remember those who lost their lives in the costly war and to extend a hand of friendship and peace.

We welcome the community to join us in the festivities, celebrating the continuing friendships and paving the way for future generations to embrace world peace.
