Foreign National Base Access

General guidelines for granting foreign nationals access aboard NAS Jacksonville

Any person with a valid government ID card whether they are active/retired U.S. military personnel or U.S. Department of Defense employee may escort up to five foreign nationals at one time.
Foreign nationals may be aboard NAS Jacksonville between the hours of 7 a.m. to midnight, seven days a week.
Visitors must be escorted off the base no later than midnight.
Groups of six or more foreign nationals must be approved by the station command security manager one week in advance of the visit and escorted at all times.

Official visitors (Request for Official Foreign National Visits Aboard NAS Jax Form)

  • All visits must be sanctioned by appropriate foreign embassy and approved by the appropriate U.S. authority.
  • Valid copy of Visa or passport.
  • Valid copy of photo identification.
  • Copy of official documentation authorizing visit - 
    • naval messages from International Program Office for training, etc. 
    • company visit request.
  • This request must be submitted to the NAS Jax Security Manager for approval.

Unofficial visitors (Request for Unofficial Foreign National Visits Aboard NAS Jax Form)

  • Any visit by foreign nationals for general purposes.
  • Valid copy of Visa or passport.
  • Valid copy of government photo identification of personnel sponsoring the foreign national.
  • This request must be submitted to the NAS Jax Security Manager for approval.

Foreign drivers (Request for Foreign Drivers of Commercial Vehicles Aboard NAS Jax Form)

  • Carriers are only authorized between 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday. If it is after 4 p.m., the carrier will have to return the next business day. 
  • Provide a bill of lading.
  • Carriers must have a valid driver's license.
  • Carriers must have a valid copy of Visa or passport.
  • The command/activity scheduled to receive the delivery must have a good contact number.
