Transition Assistance

Employment and veterans' benefits information are critical issues for retiring and separating military members. The Fleet & Family Support Center (FFSC) at NAS Pensacola offers a three-day Transition Assistance Program (TAP) seminar on a monthly basis for individuals transitioning from military to civilian life. From NAS Pensacola: Until further notice, all classes are being held on NASP at the Gateway Inn Conference Center, Bldg 3249. Registration for the monthly TAP Seminar is through the Career Counselor at your Command by filling out a DD Form 2648.

The Transition Assistance Program also provides job search services and assists with resume writing and interviewing skills through the Career Development Resource Center (CDRC) at the FFSC, Building 741.  You can work one-on-one with a Transistion Assistance Specialist, or attend one of the monthly classes offered by TAP:

Learn how to market yourself effectively through a well-written resume. This class is geared toward those transitioning from military to civilian life, as well as military spouses.

Are you interested in a federal job? Learn how to identify job openings, how to prepare a federal resume, and techniques aimed at landing the position.

The Small Business Development Center, along with the University of West Florida, offers this workshop about starting your own business.
