The ASIST workshop equips participants to act as “first responders” to a person at risk for suicide. Learning this approach to “suicide first-aid” will increase your confidence and competence in helping to prevent the immediate risk of suicide. Over one million caregivers have participated in this two-day, highly interactive workshop.
We have the great opportunity to have ASIST trainers available to facilitate this two day workshop right here at NAS Whiting Field. This workshop goes above and beyond the typical GMT and expands into the techniques, resources, and skills required to bring a person-at-risk to safely receive the help they need.
Please call the Chaplains office to get more information and find out dates and times of the workshops (850) 623-7211.
