Command Master Chief

Command Master Chief Laurie is a native of Irving, New York. He joined the United States Navy in December 1993. Master Chief Laurie is a Seabee Combat Warfare Specialist, Expeditionary Warfare, Master Training Specialist and has an Associate's Degree in Electrical Mechanical Technologies.

Upon completion of Construction Mechanic "A" school in Port Hueneme, CA, Master Chief Laurie was assigned to Naval Air Facility, Adak, Alaska. In August 1995, he was transferred to Naval Station Guantanamo Bay, Cuba where he served as field crew for the Public Works Department.

After GTMO, Master Chief Laurie transferred to Naval Construction Training Center, Port Hueneme, CA, to complete "C" school and then on to Naval Mobile Constuction Battalion FOUR. During his time with NMCB FOUR, Master Chief Laurie deployed to Haiti, Puerto Rico, and FSB as homeport expeditor.

In February 1999, Master Chief Laurie transferred to Mobile Diving and Salvage Unit TWO to serve as Maintenance Supervisor. In March 2002, he reported to Naval Mobile Construction Battalion FIVE and deployed to Spain, Kuwait, Okinawa, and Thailand. Upon completion of his tour, Master Chief Laurie transferred to Naval Construction Training Center, Port Hueneme, CA as an Instructor, Phase Head and School Director.

In May 2008, Master Chief Laurie transferred to Naval Special Warfare Development Group as the Maintenance Supervisor. In September 2011, he reported onboard First Naval Construction Division as the 3M Program Manager. In August 2013, he was assigned as the Command Master Chief at Naval Construction Training Center, Port Hueneme, CA.

Master Chief Laurie is currently assigned as the Command Master Chief at Naval Base Ventura County.
