Command Master Chief, Naval Support Activity South Potomac 

Master Chief Bristow enlisted in the Navy in September 1990 and completed Recruit Training in San Diego, California. He attended Aviation Electrician’s Mate “A” school in Millington, Tennessee and Naval Aircrew Candidate School in Pensacola, Florida.

His duty assignments include NAF El Centro, California; Helicopter Squadron Light FIVE ONE Atsugi, Japan; Helicopter Squadron Light FOUR THREE San Diego, California; Naval Aviation Schools Command Pensacola, Florida; Patrol Squadron FORTY SIX Whidbey Island, Washington, AIRTEVRON Squadron TWO ZERO Patuxent River, Maryland; USS CARR (FFG 52) Norfolk, Virginia, and Air Test and Evaluation Squadron TWO ONE Patuxent River, Maryland.  During these tours, he performed duties and flew in direct support of Operation Enduring Freedom, Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Desert Shield. He deployed to the Arabian Gulf, Western Pacific, Southwest Asia Area of Operations, and Western Caribbean Sea. He is currently assigned as the Command Master Chief for Naval Support Activity South Potomac

Master Chief Bristow was selected to the Command Master Chief program in July 2011 and is a graduate of the CMC/COB Course and the Senior Enlisted Academy, Class 161 (Khaki). He holds a Bachelor's of Science Degree in Management Studies from the University of Maryland University College. His personal decorations include the Meritorious Service Medal, Air Medal (two awards), Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal (three awards), Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal (four awards), Good Conduct (seven awards), and various unit and campaign awards.
