"Navy Region Hawaii installations are participating in HURREX 15, a hurricane preparedness exercise through May 29. The following information is an example of what would be provided in the event of an actual hurricane approaching Hawaii:

Commander, Navy Region Hawaii set Tropical Cyclone Condition of Readiness (TCCOR) 5, with destructive and sustained winds of 50 knots or greater possible within 96 hours. All JBPHH and PMRF personnel and their families are advised to take this opportunity to become informed, make a plan and build a family disaster kit containing emergency supplies. Visit http://www.ready.navy.mil/ or www.ready.gov for preparedness information. Go to the Hawaii State Civil Defense website at www.scd.hawaii.gov and review the closest shelter locations. Register for emergency alerts at www.nixle.com. In the event of an emergency, personnel and their families should monitor the Navy Region Hawaii and JBPHH or PMRF Facebook and websites for updates. JBPHH personnel can listen to recorded messages on the JBPHH Straight Talk Line at (808) 421-4000, and tune in to Joint Base Television (Oceanic Ch. 2) on base.
**This notice contains general information that may be specific to the JBPHH geographical area. Personnel at PMRF, MCBH and other geographically separate installations should also monitor and follow locally provided guidance.
