Nineteen chief selectees offloaded more than 27 palettes of toys, which were donated by United Service Organizations Inc. Japan to benefit local underprivileged youth during the holiday season. Reid was advanced through the Navy’s Advanced Technical Field program which grants automatic promotion to petty officer 3rd class after successful completion of A-school. The group viewed the aircraft, assigned to Marine Medium Tilt Rotor Squadron (VMM) 262, to familiarize themselves with hazards that can occur in the event of an aircraft mishap. A wastewater slug is any substance that could cause an imbalance or obstruction in the sewer system.
