Commander, Navy Region Midwest
Commander, Navy Region Midwest (CMRMW) will be disestablished effective September 30, 2014, and its geographic area of responsibility will be divided between three other existing regions. CNRMW is currently the shore readiness integrator for the 16 states of North Dakota, South Dakota, Minnesota, Wisconsin, Michigan, Nebraska, Iowa, Oklahoma, Illinois, Indiana, Ohio, Kansas, Arkansas, Kentucky, Tennessee and Missouri. CNRMW also supports Take Charge and Move Out (TACAMO) aircraft at Tinker Air Force Base in Oklahoma, and 33 Navy Operational Support Centers (NOSCs).
The region currently includes three major installations: Naval Station Great Lakes, Illinois; Naval Support Activity (NSA) Crane, Indiana; and NSA Mid-South, Millington, Tennessee.
CNRMW function and installations will be distributed among three other Navy Regions – Commander, Navy Region Mid-Atlantic (CNRMA); Commander, Navy Region Southeast (CNRSE); and Commander Navy Region Northwest (CNRNW).
