This base is home to the Atlantic Fleet Seabees. There are also more than 45 tenants who call NCBC home.

Installation Information

NCBC exists to maintain and operate facilities and provide services and material in support of Naval Construction Force Units, to include Amphibious Construction Fleet Units, the Maritime Prepositioning Force (Enhanced), and other fleet and assigned organizational units deployed from or homeported at NCBC Gulfport, and to perform such other functions and tasks as may be assigned by higher authority.

Burgess wrote about her most-admired presidential first lady Nancy Reagan, which was this year’s essay topic. The Scholarships for Military Children program has awarded $1,500 scholarships to 7,412 children of Active Duty, Guard, Reserve and Retired service members worldwide. More than 600 young people benefit from this scholarship Equipment Operator 2nd Class Brian Williams (top) and Equipment Operator 2nd Class Krystle Harris, both students of Naval Construction Training Center (NCTC) Gulfport Equipment Operator “C” School fill a Medium Tactical Vehicle Replacement (MTVR) field truck with diesel fuel for a soil stabilization project on board NCBC Gulfport, June 18. MTVRs haul fuel, water, food, supplies and troops. NCBC Fire Department conducts Live Fire training at the Helo Pad on board NCBC Gulfport, June 19. NCBC fire fighters train semi-annually on a Mobile Aircraft Fire Trainer (MAFT) during the day and at night. The MAFT is a propane fueled environmentally friendly training craft that offers both internal fire training and external fire training options.
