Reservation acceptance policy
Only the sponsor can make the actual reservations and pay; guests of the sponsor are not permitted to make or pay for reservations.

Active and reserve military may make reservations one year prior to arrival date. Retired military and active and retired DoD may make reservations six months prior to arrival date. Waivers are accepted four months prior to arrival date.


RV sites can be reserved for a maximum of 90 consecutive days. At the end of a 90 day reservation, patrons must vacate their site for a minimum of 30 days between the end of a previous reservation and the beginning of a new reservation.

If additional RV sites are available upon the completion of a 90 day stay, patrons may make another 90 day reservation. Pending availability, patrons will only be allowed to relocate to available sites within Navy Getaways Solomons twice more for a total of 270 consecutive days before they must vacate their site for a minimum of 30 days between the end of a previous reservation and the beginning of a new reservation.

The check-in time for guaranteed (prepaid) lodging reservations is 4 p.m. to closing, and for camping 2:30 p.m. to closing. Early check-in for lodging is based on availability. There are no early check-ins prior to 1 p.m. for lodging and noon for camping. Only the sponsor is authorized to check-in to their scheduled accommodations and must remain on board with guests at all times. When sponsor and dependent(s) rent multiple units at the same time each sponsor must check in with a valid id for each unit rented.


Checkout time for lodging reservations is 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. for camping on the departure date. Retention of accommodations after the designated checkout time will result in a $100 billing charge. Once lodging unit keys are turned in, checkout is considered complete. Patrons may not return to the unit however, they may continue to use the recreational facilities.


In cases when more than one eligible patron will be in a group, it is possible to co-sponsor. Co-Sponsoring is helpful when you have a large group and need another person to share the responsibility of being on-site. CO-SPONSORSHIP may only be done at the time the reservation is made. The fee will be based on the highest-ranking sponsor. For more information contact the NRC Solomons Lodging Office.


Daily maid service is not provided; units are cleaned prior to patrons check-in and after patron’s checkout. Patrons are asked upon checkout to ensure that all kitchenware has been cleaned and trash has been removed from the unit. Patrons are held financially responsible for any destruction of government property and/or any unit left in such condition that makes it impossible for a patron to check in that same day. NRC Solomons lodging prices remain low due to this process.

Leisure Passes

In-season rates include leisure passes. Each lodging accommodation is issued two leisure passes per bedroom. Log cabins are issued six leisure passes per side. Cozy cabins are issued four leisure passes each. Individual campsites are issued four leisure passes per site. Group campsites are charged and issued leisure passes per guest list. Off-season leisure passes can be purchased individually. Refunds are not granted for guests who do not show when additional leisure passes are purchased.  Additional Leisure may be purchased at an additional cost contact the Lodging Office for details.


Linens will be provided in your unit. Patrons will find that only the master bed will be prepared for your stay by NRC Solomons Housekeeping. For cost effective measures, you will find your other bed(s) have not been prepared but bundles have been left for your use, if needed. If the linen is not needed, we ask that the bundles not be opened or tampered with to conserve water, manpower and help keep cost down. Patrons who remove linen, will incur the cost of the missing items.

NOTE:  Personal body soap, lotion,  shampoo and conditioner will no longer be provided.


Pets must be confined in a kennel/carrier or leashed and under the physical control of an adult at all times. Pets must be registered with the Lodging Office. The pet’s shot records must be presented at this time. Owners are liable for damage caused by pets. Pets are not permitted in any NRC building, facility, or Lodging units.  If pet enters NRC building, facility, or Lodging units, a standard extermination fee will be charged to the sponsors credit card on file.

NOTE: Complaints of excessive barking or aggressive behavior will be just cause for the removal of the pet from NRC Solomons.

Personal Golf Carts

Personally-owned and operated golf carts must be registered at the Lodging Office. Provide copy of insurance policy upon check in, where you will be issued a MWR decal which allows patrons to drive on NRC Solomons roads. Please be advised that all guests operating a golf cart must have in their possession a valid drivers’ license. All Maryland driving laws apply. Please ask the Lodging Office for details.

Televisions and Telephones

Television with cable access are in all lodging facilities.  Currently NRC is phasing out DVD players in our rental units.   

Telephones are not provided in the rental units nor anywhere aboard NRC Solomons.

Temporary Vehicle Passes

Passes are available at the Lodging Office for all eligible patrons guests.  Patrons with a eligible id card will not need a car pass, patrons guest will need a base car pass to enter  the Navy Recreation Center.  A valid state drivers license is required to pick up the guest vehicle pass.  A photo ID is required for all guests 16 years of age and older. There is a maximum of three vehicles passes per unit or campsite.  

**NEW:  All guest must submit their guest list no later than 7 days prior to  scheduled arrival.  If you have guest in your party that are foreign nationals please contact the Navy Getaway, Solomons office directly for specific details on how to submitt thier information.  Contact number is 410-326-2907.
