“Our Sailors are trained and ready for anything while on duty, but personal and family readiness, especially during unexpected disasters and emergencies, is equally important,” said Judith Wright, Family Emergency Response Program Analyst with Fleet and Family Support Program for CNIC. “Disasters don’t plan ahead, but you can. We encourage all Sailors, personnel and Navy families to take advantage of the educational resources offered during National Preparedness Month to ready your family now and ensure their survival if the unexpected happens.”
Each week in September will focus on different preparedness themes: Make a Plan; Build a Kit; Low-Cost, No-Cost Preparedness; and Teach Youth about Preparedness. Fleet and Family Support Program will deep dive into these topics during their online webinars, which are open to Sailors, personnel and family members at no cost at https://ffsp.zeiders.refineddata.com.
