Sailor Assistance and Intercept for Life (SAIL)

Commander, Navy Installations Command (CNIC) is pleased to launch the new 21st Century, Career Options & Navy Skills Evaluation Program (CONSEP). This improved curriculum was developed to provide Navy Command Career Counselors (CCC) and Fleet and Family Support Center (FFSC) staff with an opportunity to guide first-term and mid-career Sailors through their career opportunities throughout the Military Life Cycle. This course will enhance mission readiness by giving Sailors the tools to make informed decisions about their educational and career options in the Navy and future as a civilian.

What is CONSEP?
The 21st Century CONSEP course provides six modules of instructor-led training that support the Military Life Cycle (MLC) model by providing instruction on military and civilian career options, Veteran Affairs (VA) benefits, financial planning, and professional networking.

Why should I attend CONSEP?
CONSEP gives you the opportunity to gather and understand information as you analyze your options to continue your service in the Navy or pursue a civilian career.

Would you like to learn more about other rates, or are you interested in becoming an officer, are you thinking about separating from the military and would like to know if you’re ready? By attending CONSEP you will be able to develop a plan of action and identify milestones and opportunities that are relative to your personal needs.

The 16 hour course will help you evaluate where you are, and introduce you to some key tools that will help you develop a personalized plan to achieve the goals that are important to you.

How do I sign up for CONSEP?
Contact your Command Career Counselor (CCC) or local Fleet and Family Support Center for more information about available classes.

The CONSEP curriculum has been distributed to every FFSC enterprise-wide and Regional Command Career Counselor; it can be presented in two consecutive days, on separate days, or as individual modules based on the need of each Command or FFSC.  This course will enhance mission readiness by giving Sailors the tools to make informed decisions about their educational and career options. Download course materials/ handouts
