Support Services

FFSP provides services through Fleet and Family Support Centers. Your Naples FFSC offers a wide variety of support services, such as relocation assistance, deployment support, clinical counseling, family employment services, new parent support, financial management education, family advocacy, and transition assistance.

Family Support Programs
New Parent Support Program, Family Life Education, and Family Advocacy Program

Licensed clinical counselors provide individual, marital, and family counseling to adults and children. These services are self or command referred and are free for all active duty, civilian, contractors, and their family members.

Personal Finances
The Personal Financial Management (PFM) program includes developing a spending plan, combating debt, investing for your retirement, saving for other goals, and Home Buying. The PFM program also conducts Command Financial Specialist Training that provides selected active duty members with the knowledge and tools necessary to assist sailors in their command with basic financial issues and screening.

Family Employment Readiness
Workshops include Employment Opportunites in Naples, 10 Steps to a Federal Job, Resume Writing, Inverview Skills, and Spouse 101. Counseling includes topics of workshops, as well as job search planning, volunteer opportunities, education opportunities, and internet resources.

Victim Assistance
Sexual Assault Prevention and Response Advocates provide victims of sexual assault with professional trained volunteer advocates around the clock, who provide information and emotional support. They also help to guide victims through the various medical, legal, and investigative processes with a goal of minimizing the "revictimization" of sexual assault victims.

Deployment Readiness
Before, during, and after deployment briefs and support for Service Members, Commands, Families, and Individual Augmentees (IA).

Relocation Assistance
Workshops include Smooth Move (for those moving away from Naples), Sponsorship Training, and briefs for AO and NSA Indoc. The Loaner Locker is also available for personnel arriving or leaving the Naples Area. Welcome Aboard Packages are available upon request.

The Ombudsman Program, a volunteer program, helps Sailors, Marines, and their families deal with the unique challenges of military life. They also play a vital role in supporting the Sailors and families of our forward-deployed ships, submarines and aircraft.

InterCultural Relations (ICR)
The ICR team conducts classes on culture specific information along with hands-on experience and cross-cultural training.

Transition Assistance
Resources are available to help make the move to civilian life go smoothly for the military member and their spouse. Transition GPS (TAP) classes offer detailed information about civilian employment, Veteran Affairs Benefits, educational opportunities, and general information about how to succeed as a civilian professional.
