Installation Information 

NSF Deveselu is the first Aegis Ashore Missile Defense Facility placed into operation, providing support to NATO's overall ballistic missile defense (BMD) system. NSF Deveselu’s service members and DOD employees serve as the security and logistic supply line for its primary tenant command, the Aegis Ashore Missile Defense System. The Aegis command consists of a fire-control radar deckhouse and an associated Aegis command, control and communications suite, and housing launch modules that contain SM-3 defense missiles.

NAVAL SUPPORT FACILITY DEVESELU, Romania (March 1, 2018) Despite facing the challenges of more than 12-inches (30 centimeters) of snow over the course of two days and a quick-fire adventure from one Sailor to travel out of country and pickup exams, the first class petty officer candidates on board Naval Support Facility (NSF) Deveselu were able to take their advancement exams on time.

NAVAL SUPPORT FACILITY DEVESELU, Romania (NNS) Sailors assigned to Naval Support Facility (NSF) Deveselu and Aegis Ashore Missile Defense System (AAMDS) Romania visited Belgrade, the capital of the Republic of Serbia, during a trip organized by the command’s Morale, Welfare and Recreation (MWR) program.

A group of 22 multinational NATO delegates led by Rear Adm. Roy Kitchener, U.S. deputy military representative, NATO Military Committee, visited Deveselu, Romania, Oct. 25.
