The Navy Chief of Chaplains offers a variety of spiritual fitness programs, including Personal Growth Retreats and Marital Enrichment Retreats. These retreat weekends are available to all active duty, military spouses , Reservists, Retirees, and DoD civilian employees, and their dependents. Meals, lodging and transportation are provided free of charge for all retreats.

Personal Growth Retreats
This 72- hour retreat is an opportunity for individuals to pursue personal growth in a peaceful, quiet setting. Participants are encouraged to share thoughts, values, dreams, and feelings about their lives in an environment of unconditional love and confidentiality. Each retreat begins on Friday afternoon and ends the afternoon of the third day. Active duty personnel may request no cost TAD orders in accordance with standard MILPERS instructions. Participation is voluntary.
Persons who have participated in a Personal Growth Retreat are encouraged to attend two (2) follow-up sessions. After follow-ups, participants are invited to an Open Meeting each Tuesday at 7pm to meet with other PGR participants for ongoing community support.
Marital Enrichment Retreats
Offered to couples with functional marriages, this 48-hour retreat offers an opportunity to make good marriages better. Couples are given the opportunity to look at important areas of their relationship in a relaxed setting without confrontation or intimidation. The Myers-Briggs Type Indicator® is an instrument used to help couples in the areas of intimacy, commitment, passion and soul making.
