AtHoc Self-Help Instructions (for keeping your emergency-mass-notification-contact data up to date)

AtHoc is the primary emergency-mass-notification system used by Fleet Activities Okinawa.
The system:

  • Currently provides the most reliable means for notifying the majority of Navy-Okinawa personnel of an emergency situation in the shortest time.
  • It is the one-stop-shop for recall rosters and an automated contact system. It provides automated contact and muster reports on personnel contacted.
  • Allows the option of adding family members to the database.
  • Notifies personnel by connecting to recall devices/numbers that personnel have loaded into the system.

All unit recall rosters are built into AtHoc, including all contact devices for all personnel accountable to the Commander under emergency situations. Unit AtHoc Operators can print Recall Rosters from within AtHoc.

Family members’ contact devices are loaded into the system on a voluntary basis.

Within moments, CDOs, Security Watch Commanders, or the EMO can log into AtHoc to publish an emergency notification.

Once a notification is published via AtHoc, AtHoc immediately starts contacting all phones (cell, work, home), text devices, email accounts (work, home, cell phone), pagers, and fax machines that members have entered into the system.  In addition, AtHoc sends Computer Desktops Notifications to all One-Net users on line.  AtHoc can contact each member’s devices simultaneously or in sequence, depending on how scenarios are set up in AtHoc.
