Effective Resume Writing
Effective resumes get interviews. Learn to market your skills, knowledge, and accomplishments using specific formats, selective power words and eye-catching cover letters. After attending this class, participants are encouraged to have their résumé's critiqued by the FFSC employment staff. This is a wonderful opportunity to get valuable input before you send your resume to that first potential employer.

English Teachers Networking
New and experienced English teachers are invited to learn from, network with and support each other in this monthly session. Topics discussed will include developing age appropriate lessons, sharing resources, and off-base employment opportunities for teachers.
Getting Started Teaching English (2 hour class)
Learn how to get started teaching English in Japan. We will discuss different types of teaching positions, legalities, marketing yourself, average prices to charge, topics for lesson plans and much more. Come and join us!
Government Employment Tips
Simple step-by-step approach to correctly completing government application forms such as the SF-171, OF-612, OF-510, and the government-style resume. Definition of federal terms and how to address KSAs (Knowledge Skills and Abilities) are some of the items that will be covered.
This workshop teaches the participants how to be more confident about their next job interview. Topics include positive answers to difficult questions, dressing for success, the importance of body language and a positive attitude, interview follow-ups and salary negotiations.
