1. Base Shuttle and Installation Transportation Services (Subject to Change).
Base Shuttle Bus services operate Monday – Friday on the following schedule:
Express: 0600 – 0700 (limited stops)
Normal Run: 0605 – 0808 (2.5 runs from Bldg. 988)
Normal Shuttle Operations: 1144 – 1844 (continuously) from Bldg. 988 Schedules are posted at each bus stop detailing specific times and routes.

2. Narita International Airport (IAP) Shuttle Bus operates daily (7 days/week) on the following schedule:
Stop #1: NGIS (Bldg. 482) – Depart 1005 (*)
Stop #2: BEQ (Bldg. 1290) – Depart 1010
Stop #3: Navy Lodge (Bldg. 946) – Depart 1015
Stop #4: Bus Shuttle Stop (Bldg. 1078/1329) – Depart 1020 (**)
(*) Stop #1: For high volume bookings of official duty travelers the NAF Atsugi Transportation Branch may schedule a second shuttle bus to accommodate high volume demands. This service will depart NAF Atsugi at 1330, and depart Narita IAP at 1600 for flights arriving 1100 to 1300 and flights departing 1830 to 2030, respectively, and is implemented on an as required basis.
(**) Stop #4: Space Available (Space-A) travelers must be manifested to ride and are permitted to board the shuttle bus only at Stop #4, if seating is available.
Note 1: Personnel traveling on official travel orders to/from Narita IAP have priority seating on the Narita IAP Shuttle Bus. A copy of the official travel orders, flight itinerary and Narita IAP Shuttle Reservation (TRANS Form 2) are required at sign-up. Travelers may sign up in-person at the FFSC Service Counter or via e-mail at M-AT-NAF-BUSGS@FE.NAVY.MIL and up to 30-days in advance of travel.
Note 2: Space Available (Space-A) travelers must be manifested to ride the shuttle bus. Non- manifested travelers will not be permitted to ride. Travelers must sign up in-person (walk-in) NLT 1400 the day prior to departure and up to 30-days in advance of travel. To sign up, travelers will provide the NAF Atsugi Fleet and Family Support Center (FFSC) Service Counter representative with a valid DoD-issued Identification or SOFA-issued CAC card. Footnote: Signing up does not guarantee seating. Space-A travelers should have alternate arrangements made in case of seat non-availability.
Estimated arrival time at Narita IAP is 1300, pending traffic. Travelers should plan accordingly.
The shuttle bus departs daily from Narita IAP to NAF Atsugi. Departure time is 1830. Estimated arrival at NAF Atsugi is 2000, pending traffic.
Inbound personnel not on Official Travel Orders: Passengers arriving Narita IAP may sign up for Space- A seating to NAF Atsugi in the air terminal. Travelers must check-in at the DoD Service Counter located in the North Wing of Terminal 1. The on-duty DoD representative will verify all personal and travel information in order to manifest seating, if seats are available. Advance reservations (i.e., via website or email) will not be accepted. This service is offered on a first come-first served basis.
Be advised, taxi services from Narita IAP to NAF Atsugi can be expensive. A typical fare can cost $150-
$250. Other commuting options are available (i.e., train and buses), however, we highly recommend travelers pre-plan a preferred mode of transportation prior to arrival through their respective base SATO Office or MWR/Recreation Centers.
Note 3: There is no Space-A shuttle services between NAF Atsugi and Haneda IAP, however, travelers on official PCS or TAD/TDY orders may contact the NAF Atsugi Transportation Branch, Dispatch Office to request official transportation arrangements.
Note 4: Child safety restraint systems are mandatory for children 4 years old and/or 45 pounds or less. Advance notice is required for seating accommodations, if available.
Note 5: Pets and/or service animals are strictly prohibited. Exception: Travelers on official travel orders may request alternative transportation.

3. Installation Transportation Service:
NAF Atsugi offers installation transportation to/from the following locations: (a) the US Naval Hospital- Yokosuka (USNH-Y), and (b) the Air Mobility Command (AMC) Passenger Terminal at Yokota Air Base.
a. US Naval Hospital-Yokosuka (USNH-Y): Transportation service is scheduled daily to/from NAF Atsugi and USNH-Y. This service operates Mon-Fri (excluding weekends or holidays). Scheduled times are:
Depart NAF Atsugi, Bldg. 77 (Base Cinema) – 0715 Depart USNH-Y – 1300
Note 6: This service is provided for NAF Atsugi Medical Clinic referral patients.
b. AMC Passenger Terminal at Yokota AB: Transportation service to/from the AMC Passenger Terminal at Yokota AB is scheduled on an “as required” basis. This service is provided to military members and their accompanying family members traveling on official orders. Vehicle is sized according to passenger manifest. No space available (Space-A) seats offered.

4. How to Make Your Reservation (NOTE: Official Orders and Space-A travelers requiring transportation to/from Narita IAP – see Paragraph 2):
a. Travelers on Official Orders (other than to Narita IAP or traveling outside of normal shuttle operating hours) must contact the NAF Atsugi Transportation Branch, Dispatch Office, located in Building 92 at DSN 315-264-3563/3900, or commercial from the United States: 011-81-467-63-3563/3900. This category of travelers may signup:
i. In person (walk-in): Travelers will provide the NAF Atsugi Transportation Branch, Dispatch Office representative with a hard copy of the official travel orders, flight itinerary and Vehicle/Equipment Request (TRANS Form 1).
ii. Via email: Travelers will provide the NAF Atsugi Transportation Branch, Dispatch Office representative with an electronically transmitted copy of the official travel orders, flight itinerary and Vehicle/Equipment Request (TRANS Form 1) submitted via Dispatcher Email Addresses located in the bottom right block of the Vehicle/Equipment Request (TRANS Form 1).
iii. Via Facsimile: Travelers will provide the NAF Atsugi Transportation Branch, Dispatch Office representative an electronically transmitted copy of the official travel orders, flight itinerary and Vehicle/Equipment Request (TRANS Form 1). FAX documents to DSN 315-264-4072.
Note 7: Travelers arriving/departing Haneda IAP may request transportation services. Travelers will provide the NAF Atsugi Transportation Branch, Dispatch Office representative with a hard copy of the official travel orders, flight itinerary and Vehicle/Equipment Request (TRANS Form 1).
Note 8: The Transportation Office will only accept e-mail and attachments from a “dot.mil” address that is digitally signed. Documents transmitted via personal accounts (for example: “gmail” or “yahoo”, etc.,) will not be accepted. The base libraries offer access to “dot.mil” accounts.
b. Weekend Travel Requirements:
Weekend travel requests for Saturday – Monday must be received NLT 1400 on Friday prior to the date of travel. If the holiday falls on Friday, requests must be received NLT 1400 on Thursday.
Note 9: US Government-sponsored contractor personnel traveling on official Invitational Orders (IO) or Letter of Authorization (LoA) are permitted access to the Narita IAP shuttle bus with a copy of the NAF Atsugi HQ issued Letter of Identification (LOI) containing specific authorization or instructions permitting access to Government-provided ground transportation and services.
Note 10: Telephone reservations are not accepted.
Note 11: Personnel traveling on the DD Form 1610, Request and Authorization for TDY Travel of DOD Personnel orders and require government-provided transportation support or services are required to have Block 12 (b) check marked. Optional, but highly recommended, is to include a justification statement entered in Block 16 (Remarks Section). Example: “Member/traveler is authorized government- provided transportation to/from airport” or “Government-provided rental is authorized for the period of start date to end date”. This standard will apply to similar official travel documents. IMPORTANT: By direction, Pacific Fleet (PACFLT) personnel are not authorized government vehicles using TAD orders.
