Lieutenant Commander Todd M. Anderson

Assist Officer-in-Charge

A native of Winchester, Indiana, LCDR Anderson graduated from Ball State University in June 2005 with a Bachelor of Science in Entrepreneurship and attended Navy boot camp in April 2006 at Great Lakes, Illinois.

His enlisted operational tour began with Strike Fighter Squadron Nine Seven (VFA-97) as an Avionics Technician.  During this tour, he deployed to MCAS Iwakuni, Japan in support of Tactical Air Integration and Marine Corps Unit Deployment Program.  

He was commissioned in July 2008 via the Officer Candidate School in Newport, Rhode Island, and was designated an Aerospace Maintenance Duty Officer.  

His first operational tour as a Commissioned Officer was with Strike Fighter Squadron Fourteen (VFA-14), serving as Assistant Maintenance Officer, Quality Assurance Officer and Material Control Officer.  In 2009, he deployed to the Western Pacific onboard USS NIMITZ (CVN 68) in support of Operation Enduring Freedom.  

Next, he reported to Fleet Readiness Center West (FRCW), serving as Power Plants Division Officer where he managed the administrative and production efforts of 171 military and civilian personnel in the repair of F414-GE-400 engines, modules, auxiliary power units and aerial refueling stores.  His efforts enabled the Naval Aviation Enterprise (NAE) to meet Current Operation Readiness goals.  Additionally, he qualified as Level 1 in Production, Quality and Manufacturing (PQM).

His second operational tour was with Strike Fighter Squadron Eight Six (VFA-86), serving as Maintenance Material Control Officer, Assistant Maintenance Officer, Quality Assurance Officer and Material Control Officer.  In 2014, he deployed onboard USS RONALD REAGAN (CVN 76) in support of Rim of the Pacific (RIMPAC) multinational maritime exercise.  

His previous tour was an acquisition tour serving as PMA-265 E/F/G Power and Propulsion IPT Lead.  He managed a $278 million budget to buy new F414 Engines, Generator Control Unit Upgrade Kits, and Generator Control Unit Testing Capabilities.  He qualified as Level 2 Life Cycle Logistics (LCL) and earned his Acquisition Corp Membership.

He attended Trident University and received his Masters of Business Administration with a concentration in Strategic Leadership in June 2018.  Lieutenant Commander Anderson’s awards include the Navy & Marine Corps Commendation Medal (3), Navy & Marine Corps Achievement Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal, and numerous unit awards.  

LCDR Anderson reported to Commander Fleet Air Western Pacific, AIMD Atsugi, Japan in January 2019 and was assigned as Assistant Officer-in-Charge in February of 2019.
