Commanding Officer, HSM-51
A son of a Naval Officer, Commander Rogers was born in Belgium and moved frequently throughout his childhood. He attended Villanova University where he received his commission and bachelor’s degree in Finance in 2004. Commander Rogers was designated a Naval Aviator in 2006 and was selected to join the first cadre of Fleet Replacement MH-60R Pilots at Helicopter Maritime Strike Squadron FOUR ONE (HSM-41) in San Diego, California.

CDR Chang was born in Honolulu, HI and lived numerous places around the world, finishing high school in Rockville, MD. He graduated from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University in 2005 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering and commissioned via Naval ROTC. He completed initial flight training in Pensacola, FL, primary instruction at Vance AFB in Enid, OK and advanced helicopter training at NAS Whiting Field, Milton, FL and was designated a Naval Aviator in August, 2007.
Command Master Chief, HSM-51
Command Master Chief Nguyen enlisted in the United States Navy in April 1995. Following the completion of basic training at Recruit Training Command, Great Lakes, IL. He completed his Electrician Mates “A” school with Distinguished Graduation at Naval Training Command Great Lakes, IL.
