Installation Information

The NSA Philadelphia and Philadelphia Navy Yard Annex missions are to provide operationally ready, secure shore infrastructure built upon a streamlined shore installation management organization committed to quality of life to our military members and civilian staffs and quality of community developed through extensive interaction and involvement with the community. All of this will be attained within a safe working environment.

  • 201008-N-PE636-0041 – NSA Philadelphia Sailors tour the Battleship New Jersey (BB 62) in Camden, New Jersey. BB-62 is one of the most decorated ships in U.S. Navy history and currently serves as a museum overlooking the Philadelphia skyline.
  • 201005-N-PE636-0023 – Sailors hoist the National Ensign during morning colors on NSA Philadelphia. The National Ensign is ceremonially hoisted and lowered, every morning and afternoon, by the installation’s Sailors.
  • 190624-N-PE636-0039 – NSA Philadelphia’s Funeral Honors division, one of the busiest in the nation, provides honors for a Pearl Harbor WWII KIA at Washington Crossing National Cemetery.
  • 200902-N-PE636-0005 – Sailors participate in a base-wide clean up. NSA Philadelphia Sailors and civilian employees organize these events to help keep the installation and surrounding community litter-free.
  • 200913-N-PE636-0017 – NSA Philadelphia Sailors participate in an annual wreath laying ceremony at the Commodore John Barry gravesite in Philadelphia, September 13. Barry is the U.S. Navy's first commissioned officer and considered the 'Father of the American Navy'.
  • 201006-N-PE636-0047 – NSA Philadelphia Sailors visit the Commodore John Barry statue at Independence Hall in Philadelphia. Sailors take time to honor the city’s long naval history and heritage as the birthplace of the U.S. Navy.
  • 191205-N-PE636-0018 – NSA Philadelphia Sailors and civilian employees attend MWR’s annual holiday tree lighting ceremony. NSA Philadelphia’s MWR aims to provide installation personnel quality of life programs and services.
  • 191011-N-PE636-0126 – A Sailors goes through security training to qualify as a member of NSA Philadelphia’s Auxiliary Security Force. The security department regularly qualifies service members to maintain a secure posture on the installation.
