Captain Pierre A.  Fuller is a native of Jacksonville, Florida. In 1980, he graduated high school from Greenwood, Arkansas. He enlisted in the Navy on 23 May 1980. His first assignment was USS CAYUGA (LST 1186), home-ported in San Diego, California, as a Fireman Apprentice Electrician.

In January 1983, EM2 Fuller was transferred and attended Second Class Salvage Diver School in Coronado, California. In June 1983, he was assigned to USS YOSEMITE (AD19), Mayport, Florida, as a member of the dive locker. In 1984, he attended First Class Dive School in Panama City, Florida, for a follow-on tour at SIMA, Mayport.

In January 1987, EM1 Fuller was transferred to USS FLORIKAN (ARS 9), Hawaii, where he was assigned as Lead Electrician and Acting Master Diver. In 1988, marked a major milestone were he achieved the rank of Chief Petty Officer.

In March 1990, he was commissioned as Ensign through the Limited Duty Officer Program and was assigned to USS ORTOLAN (ASR 22), Charleston, SC, as the Damage Control Assistant and Main Propulsion Assistant. From 1993 until 1995, he was Engineer Officer of USS GRASP (ARS 51). His next tour was to Afloat Training Group where he had the opportunity of working/training/interacting with many sailors. Following this tour from August 1998 to October 2000, LCDR Fuller served on board USS ARCTIC (AOE8) as Engineering Officer. Upon completion of this tour, he was assigned to the Propulsion Examining Board, followed by a short tour at the Board of INSURV. He then transferred to USS SAIPAN (LHA 2), where he served as Engineer Officer. During his various afloat assignments, he sailed to the Mediterranean, Western Pacific, South Pacific, Indian Ocean, Persian Gulf, and the Caribbean.

In July 2005 Commander Fuller assumed the duties as Officer in Charge of the Puget Sound Naval Shipyard and Intermediate Maintenance Facility, detachment Everett, Washington. From June 2007 until October 2009, he worked for Commander Expeditionary Strike Group SEVEN/Command Task Force 76 as N43 and N7 in Sasebo, Japan. Upon completion of this tour in Sasebo, Japan, CDR Fuller received orders as the Commanding Officer of Regional Support Organization, Pacific Northwest. In June 2011, CDR Fuller completed a highly successful tour in the PACNORWEST and completed his tour as Executive Officer, SERMC in Mayport, Florida. Captain Fuller assumed command of Naval Weapons Station Earle in April, 2017.

Captain Fuller graduated from Liberty University in 2005 receiving a Bachelor of Science in Theology and continued his education, receiving a Master’s Degree in Business Management in 2008. He received his Joint Professional Military Education through Air Force Air Command and Staff College in 2009.

Captain Fuller has been awarded five Meritorious Service Medals, six Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medals, three Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medals, and various other unit and service awards.
