Welcome to the Navy Mid-Atlantic Region Morale, Welfare & Recreation (MWR) Child & Youth Programs (CYP). This book is designed to help you become familiar with the policies and procedures of your CYP. CYP provides developmentally appropriate programs for children ages six weeks to 18 years. Our programs include the Child Development Centers (CDC), for children six weeks to five years; the Child Development Homes (CDH) program, providing in-home care for children six weeks to 12 years of age; the Navy’s newest member to CYP Programs, the 24/7 Child Development Group Home (CDGH), which provides care 24 hours a day, seven days a week for children six-weeks to 12 years of age; the School Age Care (SAC) Centers, for children Kindergarten to 12 years of age; and the Teen Centers, for children 13 to 18 years of age. Each program offers hourly drop-in care for a fee. In addition to our CYP programs, we offer Youth and Family Programs, Sports Programs and Holiday and Summer Camps (eligible if completed kindergarten). Due to demographics and location, not all bases in the region are able to offer all of our programs.
