Today, Commander, Navy Region Mid-Atlantic ordered all Navy installations in the Hampton Roads area to return to Tropical Cyclone Condition of Readiness (TCCOR) Five (V) as Hurricane/Tropical Storm Isaias no longer poses a threat to the area.

Commander, Navy Region Mid-Atlantic (CNRMA) ordered all Navy installations in the Hampton Roads area to set Tropical Cyclone Conditions of Readiness (TCCOR) Three (III) late today as Hurricane Isaias is forecasted to bring high winds and rain to the Mid-Atlantic coast as early as next week. This means potential sustained destructive winds of greater than 50 knots associated with a tropical system are possible within 48 hours.

As a precautionary measure, Navy installations in Hampton Roads began preparations today as Hurricane Isaias has the potential to bring high winds and rain to the Mid-Atlantic coast as early as next week. Additionally, Commander, Navy Region Mid-Atlantic (CNRMA) ordered Tropical Cyclone Conditions of Readiness (TCCOR) Four (IV) for Hampton Roads late yesterday. This means sustained destructive winds of greater than 50 knots associated with a tropical system are possible within 72 hours.

Lansing, assigned to Naval Air Station (NAS) Oceana, was recognized as the Commander, Navy Installations Command Shore-Based Aircraft Launch and Recovery Equipment Technician of the Year for his leadership and exceptional performance in maintaining aircraft arresting equipment, July 24.

General court-martial trial dates have been moved for U.S. Navy Chief Special Warfare Operator Tony E. Dedolph and U.S. Marine Corps Gunnery Sgt. Mario A. Madero-Rodriguez in conjunction with the death of Army Staff Sgt. Logan Melgar, who died June 4, 2017 while serving in Bamako, Mali.
