NORFOLK, Va. – Today, Commander, Navy Region Mid-Atlantic ordered all Navy installations in the Hampton Roads area to return to Tropical Cyclone Condition of Readiness (TCCOR) Five (V) as Hurricane/Tropical Storm Isaias no longer poses a threat to the area.
Hampton Roads Navy installations experienced isolated power outages, and minor tree and debris damage from the storm, but all are fully operational and mission capable.
“I am very proud of the work done by our installations and personnel in advance that helped to minimize the effects of this storm,” said the commander of Navy Region Mid-Atlantic, Rear Adm. Charles W. “Chip” Rock. “We were very fortunate that the storm didn’t cause major impacts to the mission, and our installations were able to return to normal operations quickly and efficiently.”
