2.b. Who has to use ESAMS?
Answer: Per CNICINST 5100.3 (series), Base Opearting Support Safety Services“, all CNIC commands and all tenant commands receiving BOS Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) services from CNIC regions shall implement and use ESAMS.

2.c. How can ESAMS help me?
Answer: ESAMS provides a secure NMCI compliant web-based means to manage all facets of the Navy's safety and health programs. ESAMS will enable CNIC to fully comply with all current OSHA and OSH standards, and provides real time data for headquarters and command level personnel allowing them to make informed decisions based on current data and metrics.

3.a. How do you get rid of various kinds of hazardous waste?
Answer: Visit our Hazardous Waste Disposal page. You can determine how to dispose of paint cans, florescent light bulbs, refrigerators with freon, oils, and other hazardous waste by visiting the Hazardous Materials Minimization, Hazardous Waste Reutilization and Disposal Guide.

4.a. The DMV says they don't accept the MSF card I received from the base MC Safety Course; how do I waive the rider skills test?
Answer: Due to a change in Virginia Laws on 01 July 2007 the DMV will no longer issue "Rider Skills Waivers". Personnel completing the MC Safety Course on-base will be required to take the written and rider skills testing in order to receive their MC Operators License.

4.b. I took the MC Safety Course at "Anytown, USA" Community College; do I have to take the MC Safety Course again to get a base decal?
Answer: No! As long as the card issued indicates you completed a Motorcycle Safety Foundation Basic Rider or Experienced Rider Course.

5.a. The Court won't accept my AAA DIP certificate to reduce the points on my driver's license. They said I need a special code; how do I get the code?
Answer: Unfortunately there is no special code that will allow point reduction. The classes conducted on base do not qualify for point reduction. In order to qualify for a reduction of the points on your DMV record you must register and pay for a course taught at one of the AAA locations.
