Commander
Rear Adm. Gary Mayes is a native of Indianapolis, Indiana. Mayes graduated from Purdue University with a Bachelor of Science in 1987 and received his commission from Aviation Officer Candidate School in 1988. He was designated a naval aviator in 1989. He also earned a Master of Military Studies from the United States Marine Corps Command and Staff College in 1999 and graduated from the Joint Forces Staff College in 2002.
Chief of Staff
Capt. Sean P. Haley graduated with merit from the United States Naval Academy in 1992. He was designated a naval aviator in 1994, and reported to Helicopter Anti-Submarine Squadron Light 40 (HSL-40) in Mayport, Florida, for training in the SH-60B.
Executive Director
Mr. Boensel had a long successful career as a naval officer which included Navy Region Mid-Atlantic, Navy Region Southeast, and Naval Air Station Jacksonville, Florida. Additionally, significant other duty assignments include service as the Navy's uniformed lead on environmental readiness and as Military Assistant to the Secretary of Defense and Military Assistant to the Under Secretary of Defense (Policy).
Command Master Chief
Master Chief Lonsdale, a native of San Diego, CA, joined the Navy on October 2, 1996 and attended boot camp at Recruit Training Command, Great Lakes. He graduated from Electronics Technician “A” School, Great Lakes, in February of 1998 and served as an Electronics Technician from 1998-2012. He was selected for the Command Master Chief Program in February of 2012.
