The Morale, Welfare and Recreation (MWR) at Naval Air Station Corpus Christi provides Navy personnel (including active duty and retired military, Reservists, DoD employees, family members and contractors) with a varied program of wholesome and constructive off-duty leisure activities that contribute to their quality of life while stationed here.
The MWR Department offers an abundance of recreational opportunities through its many facilities: gym, fitness center, swimming pool, beach, camping, RV park, marina, auto-skills center, bowling center, golf course, ticket/travel office, Liberty Program/center, food and beverage facilities, child care center, youth & teen center and much more!
The Fleet and Family Support Center is an on-base social service agency whose goal is to improve the quality of life for the military member and family through counseling and assistance. The FFSC is the first stop for singles and families seeking counseling or assistance with a personal or family matter. FFSC's many free classes and seminars are also a great resource for self-improvement and Navy lifestyle education.
The Naval Air Station Corpus Christi Navy Housing Office has an employee staff of “customer friendly” housing professionals available to serve military families new to the coastal bend area. The Housing Office has information on long- and short-term apartment rentals, homes for sale, schools, maps, military clauses, and information about the surrounding local communities. In addition the Housing Office has information regarding PPV and/or off base private sector community housing.
