The Mission Of New Parent Support
New Parent Support (NPS) is a program for military families who are expecting, have a new baby or are in need of parenting information. It is designed to empower expectant and new parents to meet the challenges of parenthood and military life.
The program is located at Fleet and Family Support Center on the 5th deck of the Navy Health Clinic at NASCC. NPS also provides services to the families stationed at NAS Kingsville.
All NPS services are free to Military Families. Participation in the program is strictly voluntary and you may withdraw at any time.

The NPS program strengthens parent-child relationships by:
- Giving New Parent Consultations
- Assessing New Parent's needs with Children from prenatal to 3 years of age
Increased awareness of nurturing Parenting practices
Increased coping skills regarding addition of a new child to the family
Encouraging parents while providing education about nurturing and child development through home visits
Enhanced skills necessary to cope with the challenges of military life
Providing NPS resource materials
