How do I contact a Chaplain after working hours or on a weekend?
After working hours, the duty Chaplain is available by calling the Command Duty Officer (CDO) at 850-452-4785. They will page the duty Chaplain and have him or her contact you.

Sunday Mass, 8:30 a.m. and 10 a.m. (ACTIVE DUTY ONLY) in Our Lady of Loretto Chapel, Bldg. 1982.
Daily Mass, 11:30 a.m. Monday, Wednesday and Friday in Our Lady of Loretto Chapel, Bldg. 1982.

Latter Day Saints
Sundays, Sacrament, 10:30 a.m. – 11:30 a.m., McKamey Center classrooms, Bldg. 634 (across the street from the NAMC).
Sunday School/Primary 11:35 a.m. – 12:15 p.m., J.B. McKamey Center classrooms, Bldg. 634 (across the street from the NAMC).
Priesthood/Relief Society 12:20 p.m. – 1 p.m., J.B. McKamey Center classrooms, Bldg. 634 (across the street from the NAMC).

Friday, Khutbah (sermon) starts at 12:45, and Iqamah at 13:15.

Daily prayers: The prayer room in building 634 will be available 24/7 for the five daily prayers, Quran recitation and reflection.

Iftar: This space will be available for daily iftar at sunset during Ramadan, Mondays and Thursdays for optional fasting and other recommended fasting days as posted on the Islamic calendar.

What if there is no Chaplain from my faith group on staff?
At NAS Pensacola, we take seriously the assignment to “provide for our own, facilitate for others, and care for all.” Our office has information on a number of civilian faith groups, and will gladly assist you in either obtaining information or making contact with a representative of your faith. Simply call our office at 850-452-2342.

What are the procedures for making an appointment to speak with a Chaplain?
If your desire to speak with a Chaplain relates to some issue at your command, you may want to check first to see if your command has a Chaplain assigned; your command’s Chaplain(s) will be better acquainted with your unit’s regulations, procedures and personnel. However, if there is no Chaplain assigned, or if you prefer to speak with one of our Chaplains, you may call our office at 850-452-2342. Tell the Chaplain or RP that you wish to make an appointment. Be sure to let them know if you desire a particular Chaplain or faith group.

Who May use a Military Chapel for a Wedding?
All active duty and retired personnel, reservists (while on active duty) and dependent children (with valid ID card) of active duty and/or retired military personnel are eligible to use the chapel.

How do I reserve a Chapel for my wedding?
The Chapel may be reserved by calling the Chaplain’s Office at 850-452-2342.

How do I contact a Navy Chaplain to conduct funeral services for a Navy veteran or retiree?
Ask your local funeral director to assist you in this. You can also begin the process by calling the National Registry for Honors at 1-800-535-1117.

I am Roman Catholic and was baptized in a Navy Chapel. How do I obtain a copy of my baptismal certificate?
To obtain a copy of a Baptismal certificate contact: The Archdiocese for the Military Services, ATTN: Sacramental Records Dept., P.O. Box 4469, Washington, DC 20017-0469. Phone number 202-262-9100; FAX 202-269-9022. Turn-around time for requests is currently 2-4 weeks.

Are any of the chapels open for prayer and meditation?
The two chapels in close proximity to the Chaplains Office (Naval Aviation Memorial Chapel and Our Lady of Loretto Chapel) are normally open for prayer and meditation Monday – Friday from 8:00 a.m. through 4:00 p.m. so long as other services are not scheduled. Call our office at 850-452-2342 for specific information.
