CREDO is a worldwide program, sponsored by the Chief of Chaplains, which offers a variety of group-based experiences to help individuals deal with personal or family problems, improve relationships, develop self-awareness, and bring focus to their lives. It is a distinctly spiritual program which complements other personal growth efforts including self-help regimens, twelve-step programs, religious retreats, and individual counseling. CREDO's goals are to build trust and facilitate an experience of unconditional acceptance, while affecting a heightened sense of responsibility. It invites reflection but does not attempt to "fix" people or force them to work on perceived "issues." More information is available from your Chaplain, from the CREDO web site, or by calling the NASP Chaplains' Office at 850-452-2342.
